At the beginning of March, Marvel Games and Netmarble officially announced the new project and paired this announcement with a first trailer. Although a release date for the RPG has not yet been set, the trailer offers a glimpse into the game experience. Captain America and Spider-Man are joined by Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange to fight Super Villains, as also reported by Vodafone.de. Scenes in Xandearth, Sakaar and Co. are likely to be quite recognizable to fans of the films and comics, and the slow-motion effects during the fights are also reminiscent of the already well-established Superhero filmography. The producers of the game deliberately refer to familiar stylistic devices, locations and characters to appeal to fans.

Players are allowed to add a personal touch to the familiar world at the same time. Not only do gamers now have the crucial responsibility of deciding the outcome of the game and the story ending with skilful gaming skills. They can also customize the appearance of the characters - and it is precisely this option that adds to the game's appeal. The trailer shows Spider-Man in a denim jacket as well as a golden outfit, Captain Marvel wears glasses and an Iron-Man-like superhero suit. The variety of these upgrades is only hinted at so far and will only be fully unlocked in the longer course of the game.

It is no coincidence that Marvel is now focusing on an action RPG for the smartphone. With Marvel Future Revolution, the developers are part of a larger trend towards mobile gaming. Minecraft, for example, has long been found not only on PCs and consoles, but also on smartphones. The player feedback on Play.google.com is positive, and meanwhile players get more game options on mobile devices than on the PC: the multiplayer mode, for example, is only updated on the smartphone. Similarly, slot games like Avatar: Gateway Guardians and Holy Diver are also available on mobile. According to  smartphone adaptation is a must in today's established casinos. These can directly address the expectations of today's players and stand out from potential competitors thanks to good implementation. These examples show that the smartphone plays a role in gaming that should not be underestimated for game developers. Marvel Games and Netmarbel are therefore very consciously focusing on a device that is becoming increasingly important. Marvel fans are not exempt from this trend.

Marvel Future Revolution does not yet have a release date, but is already scoring points with fans of the Marvel universe and the gaming industry. With a combination of the familiar - familiar places, characters, cinematic stylistic devices - and personal touches, the RTP game offers a new experience in a familiar world.
